Healthcare Centers of Excellence Summit 2012, USA

Healthcare providers are facing increasingly difficult challenges. Major Regulatory initiatives laced with uncertainty, lower reimbursement levels, higher numbers of uninsured patients (and under insured), rising costs and continued scrutiny must be successfully navigated by hospital executives and administrators while ensuring quality patient experiences.

Only those armed with the best knowledge, strategic and tactical insight, and the keen understanding that healthcare administrators must continually innovate will avoid being left behind and achieve success. This begins with a strong network of colleagues and learning from those with exceptional inside knowledge.

The Healthcare Centers of Excellence Summit will assemble a faculty offering high level, detailed insight based on real-world knowledge. The issues you face each day will be examined with solutions & results explained in interactive discussions all while relationships with colleagues are developed. Experts from various backgrounds, perspectives, positions and specialties will come together allowing a 360° viewpoint of the business and administrative challenges in managing a healthcare center.

Uniquely focusing on specialty departments while simultaneously offering cross departmental learning and networking opportunities, the Summit has three distinctive conference tracks:
1) Cardiac Centers of Excellence
2) Cancer Centers of Excellence
3) Diabetes Centers of Excellence

Whether a delegate chooses to concentrate on a specific track or attend portions of all three, an unparalleled ability to learn, network and share professional insights will be provided.

5th Latin American Conference on Lung Cancer - Brazil

On behalf of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the Local Organizing Committee, it is a great pleasure and an honor to extend to you a warm invitation to attend the 5th Latin American Conference on Lung Cancer (LALCA 2012) to be held July 25 through July 27, 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Lung Cancer is still the leading cause of death not only in Latin America but worldwide. Building on the success of the previous conference in 2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, international and national speakers will discuss the science and advances in the treatment and prevention of lung cancer.

With tobacco being the leading cause of morbi-mortality worldwide and it’s consumption leading to respiratory and cardiovascular disease, as well as cancer, causing the loss of 800,000 otherwise healthy Brazilian lives every year, the Conference would like to support the Framework Convention for Tobacco Control and will again host a Tobacco Forum on Wednesday, July 25.

The Scientific Program will feature basic and translational research, molecular diagnosis and prognostic factors, early diagnosis, targeted and individualized therapies, surgical and clinical management of lung cancer including radiotherapy and supportive care.
