About the Conference : Anand Engineering College is a premiere institution of Northern India and imparts education in CS, IT, ECE, CH, EE, EI, ME, CE, MBA, MCA and Biotechnology. It was established in September’ 1998 by Shri Anand Swaroop Educational Trust of Sharda Group of Institutions. AEC campus also houses Anand College of Pharmacy, Anand College of Education and Anand College of Architecture at the 18th km milestone on the Agra-Delhi Highway (NH-2). Campus is spread across 30 acres at a scenic location overlooking Keetham Lake and Bird sanctuary. Anand Engineering College is organizing a three day “National Seminar on Biotechnological interventions in the benefits of mankind”. The objective of the seminar is to acquaint the young scientists, biotechnologists and students community with the “State of Art” in disciplines of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy. The interaction would not only broaden their horizon but help in developing strong R&D base in colleges which are not in the vicinity of metropolitan cities.
The three day Seminar Session involves Keynote lectures, Invited lectures and Technical paper presentation, and Poster presentation on:
a. Bio-fuels: Specially 3rd generation Bio-fuels.
b. Food Processing: Technologies in Public domain/or still in shelves.
c. Value added Products: Secondary Metabolites, Microbial, pigments, bio-plastics and pharmaceuticals.
d. Bio-pesticides: Microbial pesticides and neutraceuticals.
e. Bioremediation: Removal of agro-chemicals and heavy metals & other emerging areas
Call for paper and submission guidelines :
Participants should submit abstracts of original research work previously not published or submitted elsewhere. Paper should be typed in English (MSW) and set in Times New Roman 12 with double spacing. Each submission must include the following:
a. Paper title, Author(s) name(s), official/ institutional affiliation(s), postal and e-mail
addresses with an indication of the author presenting the paper
b. Abstract (not more than 250 words) with a maximum 5 keywords
c. Indication of Sub-Theme of the paper
Authors are invited to submit the abstract by email at biotechseminaraec@gmail.com up to 18.01.2012 (extended last date) along with DD.

Students : Rs. 500
Faculty/Scientists from Academic Institutions : Rs 1000
Industry : Rs 1500
Group Registration (minimum 5 students) would receive 20% discount. DD should be made in favour of Anand Engineering College, Agra and payable at Agra
* The fee is inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner during seminar and seminar kit. Desk registration fee would be Rs. 600, 1100 and 1600 respectively
Accommodation : Limited Hostel accommodation will be provided for Students participants. Guest House accommodation is available for Guests/invited speakers. Participants, desires to stay in hostels may stay at nearby Hotel Vikram Palace at nominal tariff.
College Route : Agra a well known historical city, situated on the banks of the river Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh. City is known for one of the wonders of the world - Taj Mahal and other monuments like Red Fort, Sikandra, and Fatehpur Sikri.
