“Workshop on Development of Concepts in Modern Biology”
February 6th - 9th, 2012

The School of Life Sciences, JNU is organizing a workshop on “Development of Concepts in Modern Biology” from February 6th–9th, 2012 under “UGC Networking Resource Centre”. The workshop is aimed at enhancing knowledge about the recent advancements in areas of modern biology and also intends to help college/university teachers to develop an independent aptitude for research. The workshop includes an interaction based hands-on training for developing and writing research grant proposals for funding.

• We solicit applications from College/University teachers having Ph.D. degree in any area of biological sciences or allied subjects with less than 10 years teaching experience. Considering a nationwide regional representation, twenty participants will be selected, preferably from the institutions/states lacking adequate research facilities.
• All participants will be provided travel support [to and fro AC II tier train fare (Air fare is strictly not reimbursable)] and on-campus stay from February 5th – 10th, 2012.
• The application forwarded through proper channel along with biodata in detail should reach the office of the Dean, SLS, JNU, New Delhi by December 31st, 2011. Soft copy of the application (as an advance copy) can also be sent through e-mail.
