ABOUT CONFERENCE
This national conference aims to bring together academic scientists, leading engineers, industrial researchers and scholars on a common platform to discuss emerging trends in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields. Alliance and coordinated efforts of leading scientists in pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields are key to making progress in life science for sustainable development. Collaboration also provides better opportunities for upcoming young researchers to enhance their skills. Products of pharmaceutical science and biotechnology span a wide range from new therapeutics, food and nutraceuticals to genome based drug formulations.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The main event will be held over 1 ½ days, from 18 – 19 February, 2012 and will consists of plenary sessions, video presentations, research (platform and poster) sessions. More than 20 national and international speakers will deliver the expertise talk.
BEST POSTER AWARD
To encourage young scientists/researchers, Organizing Committee announces “Best Poster Award” for all registered delegates presenting oral/poster in three sections (Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Agriculture). This awards carry a Certificate of merit, memento and gifts. Best poster winner (Three) will get a complimentary registration and travel grant to attend International Conference in Kathmandu (Nepal) along with passes to attend Lake Side Dinner. VENTURE STUDIO
An initiative taken by Mangalayatan University, this business start up hub will build and nurture young entrepreneurs in the frontier areas of Science and Technology. It will provide assistance and mentoring to the student ideas, besides their external reviewing by respective subject matter experts. Under this scheme we will invite some role models from Industry, and academia to give guidance and additional dimensions of thought to these young minds. In this series we have a brain storming session by Mr. Sunil Parekh, Strategy Advisor-Zydus Group on 18th Feb. 2012.
ABOUT ALIGARH
Aligarh is a city located in Uttar Pradesh state of Northern India. The city is about 90 miles east to New Delhi, situated on a plain between the Ganges and Yamuna. The city is the administrative capital of the Aligarh district. Aligarh is held in high esteem for the educational facilities offered here, being home to the nation’s oldest university, Aligarh Muslim University. It is one of the most renowned commercial as well as educational center of North India. Connectivity: Mangalayatan University (MU) is well connected to rest of the country by means of air, rail and road. The nearest airport is Kheria Airport, Agra which is 76 km and Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, which is 178 km from University Campus. The main railway stations are Aligarh Junction and Mathura Junction which is 34 km and 29 km respectively. The nearest bus stand from MU is Mathura (30 km) and Aligarh (33 km).
ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Mangalayatan University (MU) has been created under the “Mangalayatan University, Uttar Pradesh Act” and notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as Act No. 32 of 2006, by its Gazette No. 362/VII-V-1-1(ka)-12/2006 dated October 30, 2006, with the right to confer degrees under section (2f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act. MU is located in between the two vibrant cities Aligarh and Mathura.
The Institute of Biomedical Education and Research (IBMER) is one of the best known institutes of Biotechnology and Pharmacy in the region. The Institute provides exemplary education in a stimulating environment where delivery of scientific knowledge is integrated with active interactions with senior professionals from the corporate sector, eminent scientists and researchers from across the country.
