21st century has witnessed not only the emergence of Biotechnology as a revolutionizing field but also the relentless exploitation of natural resources. Being located in the midst of a biodiversity hotspot, the Centre for Studies in Biotechnology at Dibrugarh University shoulders its responsibility towards preserving the natural resources of the region. The seminar is an attempt to bring together the elite minds on a single platform to achieve the goal of quality research in the field of biotechnology for sustainable development. Areas to be covered in the Seminar are:
• Medical Biotechnology
• Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
• Microbial biotechnology
• Agricultural biotechnology
• Industrial biotechnology
• Bioinformatics
• Genomics
• Proteomics
• Emerging areas of Biotechnology.
Apart from technical sessions, eminent scientists will deliver lectures on various aspects of biotechnology
About the Centre :
The Centre for Studies in Biotechnology was established by Dibrugarh University in collaboration with Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Lahowal. The Centre is aimed at generating competent human resource with cutting edge expertise to satisfy individual and institutional needs and also to become a leader in biotechnology education in the country.Submission of Abstract :
Abstract of research papers on any of the themes mentioned above are to be submitted in MS office word Format with a 12-point font, Times New Roman having 1.5 line spacing and not exceeding 250 words. The abstract along with the duly filled in registration form and the prescribed registration fees must reach the Convener latest by January 20, 2012. A soft copy of the abstract (by e-mail or on CD) should also be provided along with the registration form.
